Thinking about rehoming your pet?
Is it because of a behavioural issues? Have you exhausted all resources with a trainer?
Is it because your moving? Have you looked at every option of housing that allows animals?
Is it because your pet requires a surgery that you cannot afford? Have you looked into a payment plan with your vet?
We know there are sometimes significant reasons that lead individuals to rehome their pets. Maybe someone in your house is deathly allergic, or the animal is repeatedly injuring family members or other pets. We will not personally judge anyone who needs to rehome their animal and you should know you can safely leave an animal with us, without any attachment, if you believe your only other option is to drop the animal off on the side of the road. We are always willing to hear you out but we also want to make sure people have exhausted all their options before they decide to rehome their animals. You may not think its a big deal for your pet but it is and they deserve for you to try all the ways you can to fix any issues there may be. We understand it’s not an easy decision for most people to make, but some people rehome animals so effortlessly and obviously our goal as a rescue is to try to prevent that. It is important that people know this isn’t a simple matter that should be repeated over and over again in the future. If you do need to rehome your pet please do not consider getting another one until you are 100% certain you will be able to care for it until the end.
Please note all rehoming situations will be required to pay a small fee. This will ensure we can get your pet spayed or neutered (if not already done), properly vaccinated, give them preventions/treatments, as well as a thorough vet check and blood work. We also will have your animal accessed by a trainer, so we can place them in the most suitable home for them. Your pet will never spend their time in a kennel at a shelter. We are 100 percent foster based, meaning they will get to spend their time in a house, receiving lots of love, curled up in a warm snuggly bed until we find them their perfect home. If you are unable to work with the rehoming fee, in certain situations, we may be willing to work with you.
